Based around the songs of Melbourne singer/songwriter Marisa Brown, Duckdive began in 2003 as an acoustic duo. After gradually expanding into a 12 piece musical collective, punctuated by breaks as Marisa travelled and lived overseas, Duckdive eventually settled into life as a six piece band in 2007.

Combining trumpet, violin, double bass and percussion with a mix of acoustic and electric guitars, Duckdive soon gained a reputation for their captivating live shows.

Released through Laughing Outlaw Records, Duckdive's debut album 'Stories for Another Day' attracted praise from around the country. The first single, Sleeptalker, recieved national airplay through Triple J, and the album was picked up by local stations all around Australia. On the back of this album, Duckdive toured the east coast, and with additional appearances as the Apollo Bay Music Festival (Victoria) and the Wintermoon Folk Festival (Queensland).

After playing at some of Australia's best venues with some of the best musical talent (Deborah Conway, Skipping Girl Vinegar, The Little Stevies, Perry Keyes, Lamplight, Scott Edgar and the Universe, Hazel Brown, and Washington, to name just a few), Duckdive elected to take a small break from the live scene and can currently be found working on various creative projects across Melbourne.

Marisa's latest musical venture, The Winter Migration, is preparing to record an EP and will be heading to the UK later in 2010.
